Bath’s Leading Florist The Floral Touch Located on the Bear Flat, Bath came an impressive third in the National Final of the British Florist Association “Shop Window Competition” with an Ice Cream Inspired display, Held at The RHS Show, Tatton Park, Cheshire, 23-25 July 2010.

After gaining a place in the final they had to compete against 11 other florists from across the country, “To come third in such a competition is a real and genuine success for us as we are a small but passionate team, it was a very close finish with there being less than 10% between first and third places “explained Joanne Swanson Floral Designer and owner of the Floral Touch.

“The Brief was to design a booth at the show to represent a Summer Wedding Window, With four set floristry pieces to create and there to be a maximum of seven pieces within the booth. We wanted to create a display that was both colourful and familiar, we came up with idea of basing our display at the seaside and used the colours, shapes and textures of ice cream cones, and this has been a competition that has involved all the members of the shop in the design a creation of the items for the display.We hoped that it looked good enough to eat".
